Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory burglarized
Updated: Thursday, November 2, 2006 6:42 AM PST
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory was burglarized sometime late Tuesday or early Wednesday, and the owner is worried because the thieves stole credit card and check receipts that reveal account numbers.
A total of 46 people used credit cards and four people used checks at the School Street business Tuesday, and owner Steve Bria said only those receipts were stolen.
"People need to know that if they used a credit card or a check, those account numbers are out there," Bria said.
He will have to replace a door and file cabinet, he said, but nothing else was taken.
Those who may have been affected should contact their credit card company, which can place them on a special watch list, Lodi Police Sgt. Lance Hayden said. Then, if any fraudulent activity is found, contact police.
