White Bengal tiger arrives in Lodi for surgery

Above: Niki Clark assists Dr. Richard Turner during an ellman radio surgery on a white Bengal tiger named Shinka on Thursday at the Arbor Pet Clinic in Lodi. The surgery was neccesary to remove a pigmented papilloma on the tiger's face. Tiger owners Robert Ringo and his daughter, Abijah Bauer, brought the female tiger from Cave Junction, Ore., where they raise 30 different varieties of lions, tigers and leopards at the Tiger Preservation Center. Shinka is one of only 20 white tigers in the world. The results of the biopsy will take two days.
