Results from Saturday's First Annual Art O'Keefe K-9 Competition:
Lodi Police Department winners included Steve Nelson and Ringo, placing fifth overall, second in search, first in novice; Mike Oden and Max, fifth in obedience; Adam Lockie and Spike, second in novice; and Dee Dee Dutra and Sam, first in the retired division. Overall winners included Grant Flory and Spike, of Manteca Police Department, second place; Josh Brockett and Nanton, of Manteca PD, third place; and John Torrez and Bullet, of Milpitas PD, fourth place. Out of 25 teams competing, the top dog was Hawk, led by handler Marc Chapman from the Sacramento Police Department.
