BASEBALL

Varsity

Galt 12, El Dorado 2

The Galt Warriors baseball team won its third straight Sierra Valley Conference game with a convincing home win Thursday.

Thomas Elliot had two hits and Wade Majewski doubled for the Warriors (7-3, 3-2 SVC). Oscar Baltazar and Jerred Dixon each had a hit.

Freshmen

Tokay 23, Stagg 0

Zach Massie went 4-for-4 and Vincent Garcia finished 3-for-4 with a double and a triple.

Kevin Keefer had three hits, Brian Delgado and Bobby Fucci each had two and Alex Terrill doubled for Tokay (7-2, 3-0 SJAA).

Massie pitched three innings with eight strikeouts for the win and Matt Wells had two strikeouts for the save.

Lodi 11, Franklin 1

Matt Fuson went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, Alex Colla finished with two singles and two RBIs and Ben Wong went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Geo Garibaldi had two singles and one RBI and Danny Glover, Scott Crivelli, Graham Christy and Spencer Thomas all singled for Lodi (3-4, 1-2 SJAA).

Varsity

Lodi 1, Tracy 1

Hallsie Pacheco scored on a direct kick in the second half. Megan Robinson added 13 saves in goal for Lodi (8-2-3, 4-0-1 SJAA).

Galt 3, Cordova 2

Ashley Moreno, Samantha Salfen and Karin Sarwold all scored once for Galt.

Taryn Selby and Salfen each had assists and Jennifer Luis and Caryn Nattalli combined for 14 saves. Sarwold, Salfen, Jennifer Kirkhoff and Cassie Markle all scored once in a 4-1 win over El Dorado on Monday for Galt (2-1 SVC).

Junior Varsity

Lodi 5, Tracy 1

Rhiannon Nelson had two goals and Brittany Woehl, Dana Driggs and Sandra Navarra each had one. Nelson and Keri Sheragy each had an assist, Keri McOmber played an outstanding defensive game and Jackie Rhea had three saves for Lodi (4-1 SJAA).

West 4, Tokay 0

Amanda Shaw, Sue Sublaban, Annette Gallegos, Michelle Minori and Alice Gallegos had outstanding defensive games for the Tigers (8-2-4, 4-1 SJAA).

Stephanie Bryd had two singles and Julia Nicholas struck out seven in a complete game victory for Lodi (7-3). Samantha Baltz and Brenne White each had a single and RBI and Melissa Engelhardt, Jessica Guantone and Kate Pepper all singled.

In singles play, Heath McKraken defeated J.R. Ferrer 6-0, 6-0, Chris Gillard defeated Tyler Sinclair 6-2, 6-0, and Jed Cuaresma knocked off Cedric Cutaran 6-1, 1-6, 6-1.

In doubles action, Shiv Verma and Josh Orsbun beat Rod Shinozaki and Jason Shimozaki 6-4, 6-2, and Chris Capps and Richard Durand defeated Mike McFarren and Steven Sublaban 6-3, 6-4.

The Tigers fell to 2-5 in San Joaquin Athletic Association matches.

West 4, Lodi 1

In singles play, Lodi's Danny Miladinovich lost to Mansoor Basaiz 6-1, 7-5, David Dickey lost to Orlando Navejas 6-0, 6-0 and Mike Niktaris lost to Marcus Navejas 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles action, Ryan Chiene and C.J. Anema defeated Greg Cannon and Richard Ramos 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 and Jeff Machado and Jason Aman lost to Robert Mateo and Keith Cummings 6-0, 6-1

Lodi dropped to 1-5 in SJAA action.

A.J. Hohn shot a 1-under-par 35 at Tracy Country Club. Chris Karger netted a 38, Tim Willett and Adam Beckman fired 41s, Jake Handel compiled a 42 and Casey Porter had a 43 for Lodi (6-1 SJAA).

Charlie VanSicklin fired a 37 and Shawn Ogren carded a 39 at Elkhorn Country Club's par-36 course. Kevin Musto netted a 40, Jersyn Sharp compiled a 43 and Josh Perrault shot a 46 for Tokay (7-2, 5-2 SJAA).
