• Galt’s annual Strawberry Festival is held each May and sponsored by the Galt Chamber of Commerce. The event incorporates the love of the berry into all things small towns are known for: hometown barbecue, craft booths and even a Miss Strawberry Festival.
• The Galt Market, held weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, welcomes vendors from all over Northern and Central California. In recent years, it has added produce.
• Cosumnes River Preserve, located in Galt’s backyard, offers hiking paths and bird-watching opportunities. It is located at 13501 Franklin Boulevard and also serves as the site for the annual January Galt Winter Bird Festival sponsored jointly by the city of Galt and the Galt Joint Union Elementary School District.

The Great American Little Town, also known as Galt, in Sacramento County is growing up.
Located approximately 20 miles south of Sacramento, the city once known merely for its sprawling farmland and dairies is drawing home developers building new family residences. New parks have also popped up in recent years.
