On Saturday, the Lodi Kiwanis Club, together with the city of Lodi's Parks and Recreation Department, will again sponsor a free Easter egg hunt for the young children of Lodi (ages 2 to 10).

This year's event will be held at Lodi Middle School, 945 S. Ham Lane. Activities start at 9 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m.

The Lodi Kiwanis Club will also be serving a delicious pancake breakfast (known as Breakfast with the Bunny) on that morning in the school's cafeteria. Breakfast will be served from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Prices are $5 for adults, and $3 for children over age 3. There's no charge for children 3 or under.

Proceeds from the breakfast are used to purchase eggs for the hunt and scholarships at Lodi and Tokay high schools. Tickets will be sold at the door.

Members of the Lodi Kiwanis Club appreciate the community's past support and look forward to another successful event this year.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
