Pearl Harbor has happened again.

We have been seduced by those who tell us “one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.”

Terrorists and the governments that sponsor or give them support have been at war with the United States for a number of years.

Terrorists on Sept. 11 struck at the center of our political and commercial capitals and we must recognize that a state of war now exist between the United States and every terrorist and every county that harbors terrorists.

Are we ready to rise to the challenge that faced our parents and grandparents? A generation of heroes. American heroes who made sacrifices but didn’t sacrifice their or our freedom. Heroes at home and on the battlefield who didn’t stop fighting until our enemies unconditional surrender.

As a nation, are we ready to follow in the footsteps of heroes and make certain that this form of treachery shall never again endanger us? I say a resounding yes!

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
