Man arrested for drunk driving, possession of
marijuana
A man spotted by Lodi police driving without his headlights
early Saturday morning was arrested and charged with drunken
driving and possession of marijuana for sale.

of the car after police observed symptoms of alcohol
intoxication.
The marijuana, which police alleged to be packaged in a form
consistent with being for sale, was found at that time.
He was also charged with a headlamp violation.
Police foil arson attempt
A man was arrested Monday after allegedly pouring gasoline onto
some carpeting in the garage and threatening to burn up the house
during a domestic dispute with his girlfriend, according to Galt
police.
Police arrived before Garlin Lawson, 42, of Galt got a chance to
light the carpeting at the womans residence in the 500 block of
Ron Way shortly after 9 a.m., police said.
Lawson was arrested on suspicion of attempted arson, terrorist
threats and violating a domestic violence restraining order, police
said.
