Man arrested for garage caper

A Lodi man faces drug charges after he was found in a resident’s garage in the 700 block of South Lee Avenue.

Loren Pancho, 26, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, burglary in the second degree, providing false identification, violating parole and possession of a narcotic controlled substance.

Pancho was found in the garage of the residence which is also used as an office early Tuesday morning.

According to the police report, Pancho kept repeating that he didn’t take anything and that he was “just tripping. ”

Man arrested for drunk driving, possession of marijuana

A man spotted by Lodi police driving without his headlights early Saturday morning was arrested and charged with drunken driving and possession of marijuana for sale.

Robert Michael Rodriguez, 19, of Stockton, was asked to step out of the car after police observed symptoms of alcohol intoxication.

The marijuana, which police alleged to be packaged in a form consistent with being for sale, was found at that time.

He was also charged with a headlamp violation.

Police foil arson attempt

A man was arrested Monday after allegedly pouring gasoline onto some carpeting in the garage and threatening to burn up the house during a domestic dispute with his girlfriend, according to Galt police.

Police arrived before Garlin Lawson, 42, of Galt got a chance to light the carpeting at the woman’s residence in the 500 block of Ron Way shortly after 9 a.m., police said.

Lawson was arrested on suspicion of attempted arson, terrorist threats and violating a domestic violence restraining order, police said.
