Steve Moore, who is in his second four-year term as San Joaquin County Sheriff, has announced that he will seek a third term in 2014.

Moore said in a news release that his top priority is to acquire funding to increase the number of jail beds in the county, especially since the Legislature and Gov. Jerry Brown has ordered moving prisoners considered to be non-violent, non-sexual, non-serious offenders and parole violators from state prison to county jails.
