I read the letter by Brian Dockter (News-Sentinel, June 15). He says he is a Christian, and he is upset by the Muslim religion.

He is entitled to that opinion. But he is also wrong in one of his statements. He said, "Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims."

The following is a list of terrorists who come to mind who are not Muslims:

The people who bombed the federal building in Oklahoma City in 1995, the people who bomb and kill people at abortion clinics, the two brothers who fire-bombed three houses of worship in Sacramento in 1999, and killed two gay men, the Earth Libertarian people who burn and destroy property in the name of ecology, the Christians who burn crosses on lawns and the people who attack other people who are in minority groups.

I'm sure there are lots more, but this is what I thought of in just a few minutes.

He said, "every other religion except for Islam has gone the extra mile to create peace and harmony on this earth."

I don't think his letter does that.

I don't know if the men detained in the Lodi investigation are guilty or not. That is a legal question that should be settled in court, if they are accorded that right.

I am glad the FBI is paying attention to what might be terrorist activities. But I also remember the McCarthy era when many people were tarred with unproven accusations.
