American Legion B

Amador 8, Lodi 6

Lodi 11, Amador 10

The Lodi Legion "B" team split a double header with Amador this past weekend, losing the opener before winning the second game.

In the first game, Justin Marino had three hits, Jack Schmidt doubled and singled and Kyle Keefer had two hits. Brandon Connors singled.

Michael Thomas doubled and pitched three innings with seven hits and five strikeouts.

In the second game, Matt Recker had three singles and a double, Ryan Stoltenberg, Garrett Brown, Neil Simpson each had a double and single and Jeff Herrick had two hits.

Josh Borges doubled and Nate Hall, Alex Blair each had a hit.

Herrick pitched four innings, allowing two hits while striking out four for Lodi (13-2).



Lodi third

Lodi Valley Heat took third place in the Yuba City Division A Tournament this past weekend.

Crystal Sauseda and Jessica Carrow each had five hits, Ashley Parish had four and Melanie Nordhaus, Dani Vallero, Teresa Vogal and Emily Cecchetti all had three hits for Lodi (6-4-1).

Nordhaus pitched five out of the six games played, with Lyndsay Lochmiller pitching the other.



Jim Keller fired a hole-in-one at Woodbridge Golf and Country Club.

Using a No. 9 iron, Keller drove the ball 152 yards to the eighth hole of the middle course.

Witnesses included Dennis Vetua, Jim Brentt and Ralph Renna.
