What’s the attraction: Casa de Fruta is a rest stop for foodies — oh, and children, too. Enjoy Casa de Amusement’s train or carousel. At Casa de Restaurant, stop in for a burger or sandwich. And don’t forget to shop for treats and specialty cooking supplies at Casa de Fruta, Casa de Wine, Casa de Chocolate and Casa de Sweets.

My favorite part is all of the dried fruits and nuts you can pick through and pay for by the pound. Stock up on unique nuts and leathery peaches and apricots for the ride home or to the coast. I always enjoy browsing through the local wines and oils, from chili-infused garlic oil to locally made olive oils. Of course, the fresh fruit — from oranges to pears — is always large, colorful and grown in the region.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
