How sharp is President Bush?
Because we know him only as he comes before the public, one can only speculate. Frequently in his stump speeches, Bush firmly asserts, "You can run, but you can't hide." And after that weightily insight be beams proudly and his followers cheer wildly.
As Bush happily departs, I'm just guessing, of course, a sudden pinprick of light so moves him he goes to Karl Rove and demands even more stirring material. He needs something as exciting and thoughtful as: bring 'em on, dead or alive, the evildoers, and just as long as it takes. Rove ponders, um, it has to be simple, yet presidential.
Bush lights up. "Hey, I can say again we're bringing freedom to the people, and democracy, of course. That works!"
