'Cruiser' reunion to reunite several classes

Those who remember that there wasn't much to do about 25 years ago in Lodi but cruise around town - especially around Lodi Lake - after school and during the weekends should come out to the "cruiser" reunion at Lodi Lake.

Those who remember mud football games in Lodi Lake should come out to the first-ever multiple-year reunion for the Lodi and Tokay high school classes of 1973-80.

This multiple-year reunion is being planned because these classes were a tight-knit group, Shelley Barbour-Buck said, adding that because the schools were smaller then, the students were all friends. Alumni were just going to invite one other class but decided to expand, and the last of the group was in the class of 1980.

Enjoy the day with old and new friends, sharing remembrances about good times at Lodi Lake.

The reunion will be held Aug. 23 at the Lodi Lake Rotary area at 10 a.m. Families are welcome at this all-day event, which will include a barbecue, horseshoes, Frisbee and more.

Please bring a main dish or beverages. Donations will be accepted.

For more information, call Shelley Barbour-Buck at 365-6016 or 327-4740; Alyce Swinney at (530) 823-1920; or Bette and Larry Link at (775) 829-0614 or (775) 233-6982.
