Lodi High's varsity girls water polo team continued its run for a second straight undefeated season in San Joaquin Athletic Association play with a 16-6 rout over visiting Franklin on Tuesday.

Sarah Hoff scored three goals as the Flames improved to 15-5 overall and 10-0 in the SJAA.

The win was also the 36th in a row in league matches for the Flames, who are going for a third straight SJAA title. Lodi's last league setback was early in the 2000 season.

On Tuesday, Kristin Pietzryk, Krista Baumbach, Erynn Crivelli, Emily Azevedo and Morgan Diehl each scored twice in the victory.

Jolie Milligan, Monica Schuh and Alissa Heil each added a goal.

Goalies Kelly Addington and Allison Williams had three saves apiece for the Flames.

Lodi's boys picked up an easy win as well, knocking off the Yellowjackets 12-2.

Scott Easterling scored four goals for the Flames (14-7, 8-2 SJAA).

Jen Young added three and Eric Weisz, Darrell Schulz, Ross Vilinskas, Blake Thomas and Brandon Ramsey each scored once.

At Stagg, Tokay's boys remained perfect in SJAA matches, hammering the Delta Kings 17-2.

Cameron Heberle led the Tigers (15-1, 9-0 SJAA) with five goals. Taylor Broughton, Brett Hickinbotham, David Dahlberg, Marc Doucette and Nick Ishii had two apiece and Andrew Drake and Sean Dryden each had one.

Goalie Zach Barnes stopped 13 shots.

Tokay's girls won 13-1, getting four goals from Sarah Watt.

Lacey Nance and Lindsay Coyne each had three goals for the Tigers (12-3, 8-2 SJAA) and Lindsay Daseler and Whitney Ramirez scored twice apiece.

Tokay plays host to Bear Creek on Thursday before welcoming Lincoln in a big showdown next Tuesday.

Lincoln's boys are currently in second place, with the Trojans' only loss coming against the Tigers earlier this season.

The Tigers will get a chance to tune-up for the Trojans this weekend, with the boys playing in the Concord Devil Mountain Tournament and the girls playing in the Western States Tournament.

Lodi hosts Stagg on Thursday and Bear Creek next Tuesday.

With less than a month remaining in the season, both the boys and girls squads from Lodi and Tokay are positioned to make the playoffs. Four teams from the SJAA advance to postseason play.
