Local churches celebrate Christmas

Churches throughout the Lodi area will have special Christmas Eve services, while a few will have services on Christmas day. Others will celebrate services Sunday.

Christmas Eve services

Bear Creek Community Church, 11171 N. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi: Candlelight service at 11 p.m.

Century Assembly, 550 W. Century Blvd.: Service with carols, candlelight and Communion at 5 p.m.

Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 420 S. Central Ave., Lodi: Song service at 7 p.m.

Clements Community Church, 18544 E. Walnut St., Clements: Service at 7 p.m.

Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church, 701 N. Stockton St., Lodi: Candlelight service with music and drama for the whole family at 7 p.m.

Ebenezer Congregational Church, 825 S. Central Ave., Lodi: Candlelight Communion at 5 p.m.

Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1540 W. Lodi Ave., Lodi: Carol service and Christmas program at 7 p.m.

Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 1055 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi: Festal Eucharist at 5:30 and 10:30 p.m. Nursery care provided at 5:30 p.m. service.

Faith Fellowship, 500 Park St., Lodi: 6 p.m. service includes vocals, piano solo, Christmas video, carols, children's program.

First Baptist Church of Galt, 653 A St.: Service at 7 p.m.

First Baptist Church of Lodi, Pine and Central streets: Candlelight services at 5 p.m. with Pastor Glen Barnes and at 9 p.m. with Pastor Steve Newman.

First United Methodist Church in Lodi, 200 W. Oak St.: Contemporary service featuring NewSong at 6:30, contemporary and traditional service featuring NewSong and other soloists at 8 and traditional service of carols and lessons led by the chancel choir at 11 p.m.

Galt United Methodist Church, 571 C St.: Candlelight service at 7 p.m.

Grace Community Fellowship, Augusta and Orange streets, Woodbridge: Service at 6 p.m.

Grace Presbyterian Church, 10 N. Mills Ave., Lodi: Service with open Communion at 9 p.m.

Horizon Community Church: Services at 7 and 11 p.m. at Chabolla Community Center, 630 Chabolla Ave. No child care available.

Lodi Avenue Baptist Church, 2301 W. Lodi Ave.: Candlelight service and Lord's supper at 6:30 p.m.

Lodi Community Church of God, 444 W. Turner Road: Communion service at 6 p.m.

Providence Reformed Church, 245 E. Vine St., Lodi: Service at 7 p.m.

Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1845 S. Ham Lane, Lodi: Candlelight service at 7 p.m.

St. Anne's Catholic Church, 215 W. Walnut St., Lodi: Mass at 5:30 p.m. in English, 9 p.m. in Spanish and midnight in English.

St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 950 S. Lincoln Way, Galt: Mass at 5 p.m. in English, 7 p.m. in Spanish and bilingual Mass at midnight.

St. Joachim Catholic Church, 13392 W. Lockeford Ranch Drive, Lockeford: Mass at 5:30 and 9 p.m., both in English.

St. Michael's Catholic Church, 5882 N. Ashley Lane, Morada: Children's Mass at 5:15 p.m., Mass at 10 p.m.

St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lee Avenue and Tokay Street, Lodi: Family worship at 5 p.m., candlelight service of story, carols and Communion at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Candlelight service with Communion at 11 p.m.

St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2400 Oxford Way, Lodi: Family worship at 6 p.m., candlelight service at 11 p.m.

Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 604 E St., Galt: Candlelight service with holy Communion at 10 p.m.

Temple Baptist Church, 801 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi: Candlelight service at 6 p.m. with special music and children's story time.

United Congregational Christian Church, 701 S. Hutchins St., Lodi: Organ prelude at 6:45 p.m., candlelight Communion service at 7 p.m.

Vinewood Community Church, 1900 W. Vine St., Lodi: Service at 6 p.m.

Zion Reformed Church, 105 S. Ham Lane, Lodi: Adult choral cantata called "The Christmas Celebration" at 7 p.m.

Christmas day services

St. Anne's Catholic Church, 215 W. Walnut St., Lodi: Mass at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. in English and 12:30 p.m. in Spanish.
